Quiche

I tried my hand at quiche a while back. I won't bore you with the recipe, you can find it here. I didn't make any changes. Yup, I even used mushrooms! I liked it - the ratio of vegetables to egg was perfect and the curry was a weird but welcome flavor to the dish. Better yet, I liked having leftovers for lunch for the next 3-4 days.

A word of advice: Do not overfill! Thank god I put a cookie sheet under the pie tin because when I took it out of the oven, a lovely bubble of egg had formed. Despite ruining a perfectly good cookie sheet (some of the egg had burned on to the sheet and no amount of soaking could get it off) I had little problem making this quiche.

I'll be going on a blog-krieg soon - I have a few more recipes I want to share. With the exception of the occasional hamburger craving, usually brought on by someone nearby bbqing, so far going vegetarian for Lent has been easier than I thought it would be. 3 more weeks!
