I didn't have that much to do school wise this week, which was good since I was so sickly. However, this weekend has been another story. Ariel came to visit!!! It was exciting to see her since we hadn't seen each other in almost a year.
After waking up Friday morning to snow (yes, snow at the end of March) I knew the weekend was going to be fun. After Ariel came in, Amie, Caitlin, she and I went to Mio Sushi for dinner. Since I still wasn't feeling 100% I opted for just the avocado rolls (I freakin love avocado) and ramen and salad. Then we went to Moonstruck and walked around 23rd for a while. Later that night Caitlin, Ariel and I went to what used to be the P Club. Since it came under new owner ship, it's now a bit classier than the T-Room AND it has games. We played Uno Stacko, which is a lame copy of Jenga, but still pretty fun - I discovered I have some mad skills at that game.
Today Caitlin, Ariel and I went to Starbuck's for breakfast. Then Ariel and I went to Powell's, and not only did I not get lost on the way there (had never driven there before) but I found free parking near by AND didn't get lost on the way home! :) I did however spend $16 dollars on 4 books. Good buys to be sure, but I really didn't want to spend money on things I didn't need. Powell's may have been a bad idea in that respect. After Powell's we picked up Amie and went to New Seasons. After that, Caitlin met us at Salvadore Molly's for dinner and it was glorious. Then Ariel had to go because she has to work tomorrow morning. It was sad she had to leave so soon, but I'll see her again at the end of April for her birthday, so I suppose it's OK.
Tomorrow I'm going to the library because I have SO much homework to do for this week. I suppose it's not as much as regular students have, but it's a lot more than I want to do. Well, I'm off to finish watching Bridget Jones then to bed. Check out the list below.
More new things:
-The whole house went to dollar scoop night at Baskin Robbins. I love that night. Everyone remember, 31 cent scoop night April 30!
-Ate Miso Ramen, pretty good. Definitely better than sushi for a sick stomach.
-Went to the Portsmouth Pizza and...I don't know, the old P club. It was fun, especially because people were there who I hadn't seen in a while.
-Played Uno Stacko - Jenga is WAY better
-Had the Starbuck's egg Florentine breakfast sandwich. It would have been better with ketchup, but we can't have everything and considering it was a Starbuck's food item, it was pretty good. If you want to try one, they won't be around for long as they're being axed by this Fall.
-Drove to Powell's Books. Pretty easy to get to, it was just the first time I'd ever done it.
-Ate the Jerk Chicken Sandwich at Salvadore Molly's. All their food is amazing, and this sandwich was no different. Plus, it came with garlic fries. Yum!
-Drank a Mike's Hard Tea. Couldn't really taste the alcohol, which is always good, but it wasn't exactly a tea taste either. Drinkable though, definitely drinkable.
