So far, so good

Sometimes Portland weather baffles me. It really shouldn’t after 5ish years of living here, I know all about its schizophrenic qualities. And yet, when it’s beautifully sunny (albeit cold) with maybe a few baby clouds in the sky at the beginning of my lunch break but pouring down rain as I walk back to work 2 hours later…Well I can’t help but think that Mother Nature isn’t in control of weather here. No, she let’s her schizo-sister reign over the city of Portland, and I totally don’t understand why.

Oh well, at least I don’t have to take the bus home, (For those of you who don’t know about this, I’m taking the bus to and from school now. I figure $35/month for a bus pass is way better than $30/week for gas, and seeing as how I need to save all the money I can right now, that is AOK with me.) because Amie's driving me home tonight as we are making dinner. Well, Caitlin’s making the bulk of the dinner (spaghetti and garlic bread) and Amie and I are making salad. But it’s still gonna be a house dinner and we haven’t had one of those for a while now, and that’s exciting.

Also exciting, the fact that the writer's strike is over. New scripted Stewart and Colbert (and probably Conan, too!) tonight, and in the next few months, hopefully, new episodes of the Office, Desperate, Grey's, Scrubs...the list goes on of TV show's I'm happy to have back. :)

I think it's pretty impressive this thing made it past one post, but that's just me. I guess I am making an extra effort seeing as how it's a Lent thing and all, and I don't want to break that - Catholic guilt would be too much of a downer during my last semester.

Well, that's about it for now, but before I go, here are new things I’ve done (since the last post of course):
-Eaten a candied almond, and a bunch of different cheeses – names unknown, but mostly good. Minus the almond, I like candied almonds about as much as I like regular almonds, and that’s not a lot.
-Used those little Crystal-Light to-go packets. They are freakin amazing! I didn’t understand all the hoopla about them when they first came out, but really, they’re very handy.
-Gave my first current events presentation in my French class. This wouldn't have counted had I done it when it was actually due, but even though I had it ready, we didn't get to it until 2 and a half weeks later. But because it was technically something new, and I did it during Lent, it SO counts. ;)
